For MeetUps in Sonoma County, to help build up some momentum, free parts will be provided if you show up with the right equipment and participate.
The first few events will be from the following list:
- I2C – attendees with gear who boot up and participate will be given (2) I2C displays and an assembled I2C multiplexer. The MeetUp will say how many sets of components will be available.
- RFID Sensors – attendees with gear who boot up and participate will be given an assembled RFID sensor with a blank keycard and keychain. The MeetUp will say how many sets of components will be available.
- Barometric Sensor – attendees with gear who boot up and participate will be given a barometric sensor. Once you get it working, we’ll have other components you can borrow to integrate wbth the sensor. The MeetUp will say how many sets of components will be available.
Later there will be an event where participants are given two stepper motors and a rotary encoder.
RSVP and bring:
- Microcontroller – For now we are standardizing on the Arduino Uno R3 (View on Amazon). If you are up for figuring things out on your own – bring whatever you want.
- A laptop/computer and correct USB cable for microcontroller
- A breadboard (View on Amazon) with some Dupont wires (View on Amazon)
